COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - Authorities said an 18-year-old is now facing assault charges after allegedly shooting at victims with a paintball gun.

The Richland County Sheriff’s Department said Nasir Champion was arrested Wednesday and charged with three counts of first-degree assault as well as breach of peace of a high and aggravated nature.

RCSD said deputies first responded to the 10000 block of Two Notch Road at around 10:15 a.m. Wednesday, after a reported shooting. The department said when deputies arrived, they found a victim who had been shot in the upper body by a paintball gun.
