Thursday: Almanac of American Politics 2026 Panel Discussion at Wonderland Books

There’s plenty to say on the state of politics in America today. If you can stomach the conversation, Louis Jacobson, Jessica Taylor, and Cameron Joseph, authors of the 2026 Almanac of American Politics, promise this one will be insightful. Longtime City Paper readers are likely to recognize Jacobson’s name as our longtime photography critic (in fact, his byline is featured just below mine in today’s City Lights). Though he’s been writing for City Paper since 1992—almost uninterrupted—he spends his days working as chief correspondent with PolitiFact, and has worked on the Almanac since the 2000 edition. This year, he became the biennial’s chief author—only the third since the book was first released in 1972.
