Ohio prosecutors have charged a 10-year-old girl and 9-year-old boy with attempted murder, rape, assault, kidnapping, and strangulation for a brutal attack on a 5-year-old girl who had her "hair pulled from her scalp" and was left in a field to die, officials say.

"Based on the evidence we have currently reviewed, two juveniles have been initially charged," the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor's Office said Wednesday in a press release .

The two children allegedly took part in the attack on the young girl with a group of kids, according to the victim's mom, who is now calling for the others to be charged.

"I pray all kids are able to get prosecuted further down the line," wrote Antavia Kennibrew on Facebook Wednesday after the charges were announced.
