SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) - Construction officially began on the 2026 St. Jude Dream Home with a groundbreaking ceremony Thursday morning in south Springfield.

KY3’s Leigh Moody and Rob Macko joined hospital supporters and contractors to turn the ceremonial first shovels at the Anthony Park subdivision site. The 2,800-square-foot home will feature a luxurious master bathroom and an upgraded kitchen with premium amenities.

Annual ticket sales for the St. Jude Dream Home raise millions of dollars to support doctors at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in their fight against childhood cancer.

Tyler Bussell of Bussell Building said constructing the dream home has already proven to be an eye-opening experience, even in the early stages.
