Hawaii, an island known for honing top MMA fighters, has yet to host a UFC event. But according to Governor Josh Green, that is about to change. Dana White’s promotion could make its way to Hawaii, but not until 2029. However, BMF champion Max Holloway believes that is a big stretch, and guess what? He has asked fans to stop hoping that this wish will be true anytime soon.

UFC fighters from different states and countries get the chance, courtesy of Dana White , to fight on the card of an event held in their hometown or nation. But that isn’t the case with fighters from Hawaii, and that’s never going to happen because, according to Max Holloway, his homeland doesn’t have the proper resources to host a UFC event.
