A dog owner who failed to secure his XL bully dogs properly before they fatally attacked a man has pleaded guilty to the offences, PA has reported.
James Harrison Trimble-Pettitt, 32, of Fradley, near Lichfield, pleaded guilty at Stafford Crown Court yesterday (October 14) to two counts of being the owner of a dog which caused the death of 52-year-old Ian Price in Stonnall, Staffordshire, in September 2023.
Staffordshire Police said Mr Price was attacked by the two animals in Main Street just before 3.15pm on September 14.
An earlier court hearing heard the animals were a champagne-coloured female called Via and a white male named Ares.
