EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEVV) — Missy Mosby is preparing for her new position as the director of Evansville Animal Care and Control, with a focus on team building and community engagement.

Mosby said her initial plan involves establishing new guidelines and sharing progress with the community.

"I'm really excited you know and I can't wait to share this with the media and also with our community so they can see their tax dollars at work and the changes that we're going to be making," Mosby said.

She also plans to bridge resources to families by creating a food pantry for Animal Care and Control.

"It's where we have food here and maybe someone comes in and they can't afford food so they're thinking about surrendering their animal hopefully we can help them," said Mosby.
