TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) - Representative-elect Adelita Grijalva is uncertain about when she will be sworn in, as the government shutdown continues with no resolution in sight. This ongoing situation has left federal workers on furlough and Grijalva, who won her election nearly a month ago, unable to take the oath of office.

The most recent attempt to reopen the government fell short of the required 60 votes. Republican Juan Ciscomani, Grijalva's future congressional colleague, expressed his frustration, saying, "This ninth failure of the Democrats in the Senate to reopen the government was extremely disappointing."
