A federal judge extended the block on President Donald Trump ‘s deployment of the National Guard to Portland on Wednesday, holding up the president’s bid to use troops in the city.
Judge Karin Immergut of the U.S. District Court for the District of Oregon extended her previous halt, which was scheduled to expire over the weekend, for an additional 14 days, meaning any federalized National Guardsmen are not allowed to deploy to the city in the interim.
