Police are investigating a nonfatal shooting in Hartford on Wednesday evening.

Patrol officers responded to the area of 168 Clark St. around 5:37 p.m. on Wednesday on a report of a party shot, according to Lt. Aaron Boisvert of the Hartford Police Department .

Arriving officers located evidence of gunfire at the scene, Boisvert said.

During the investigation, officers learned that a gunshot victim arrived for treatment at an area hospital. According to Boisvert, the victim, a man in his 40s, was suffering from non-life-threatening gunshot wounds and was listed in stable condition.

The Hartford Police Department’s Major Crimes and Crime Scene Divisions are conducting the ongoing investigation.
