OMAHA, Neb. —

We're now 15 days into the government shutdown.

On Wednesday evening, lawmakers voted and failed to pass the bill to get everything running again.

KETV breaks down reactions from Nebraska's leaders.

The Republican leaders largely blame Democrats for the lack of movement.

"Chuck Schumer, the Democrats, have made no progress in actually working to get government open," said Sen. Pete Ricketts.

"We need some movement. And sadly, I'm not getting the message from the other side of the aisle that they're interested in working with us until they have the protest," said Congressman Mike Flood.

The protest Flood is referring to is a "No Kings" protest, happening nationwide, with three scheduled for here in Nebraska and Iowa.
