COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) - The Texas A&M Department of Chemistry is on a mission to show youngsters that science is cool and fun this weekend with its 39th Annual Chemistry Open House .

It’s an event to get kids excited about science, and it’s happening on campus.

With about 40 experiments, the chemistry roadshow returns on Saturday, Oct. 18. The experiment-fest offers hands-on learning and demonstrations, making its mark on all ages.

It’s all part of the chemistry department’s effort to entertain and educate using science.

According to Dan Collins, a professor with the Texas A&M chemistry department, it will be 45 minutes of non-stop chemistry fun.

There will be three shows to choose from at 10 a.m., noon, and 4 p.m.
