Riverside police investigating death of woman found in car behind LA Fitness

Riverside police on Wednesday, Oct. 15, were investigating what they described as a suspicious death.

Around 2 p.m., police were called to an area behind the LA Fitness at 10988 Magnolia Ave., where they found a woman dead in a car, said Officer Ryan Railsback, a Police Department spokesman.

“While the cause of death is not yet known, there were some suspicious circumstances that prompted our Robbery-Homicide Detectives to respond,” Railsback said.

No other details were immediately available.
