LARKIN TOWNSHIP, MI – A two-vehicle crash that killed a 78-year-old mid-Michigan man Tuesday is under investigation in Midland County.

According to a release from the county sheriff’s office on Wednesday, Oct. 15, the man was driving a 2014 Chevrolet Impala westbound on East Monroe Road at around 1:40 p.m. Tuesday in Larkin Township when he passed a stop sign and entered the intersection with North Sturgeon Road.

The Impala struck a northbound 2026 Chevrolet Traverse, driven by a 37-year-old woman from Mills Township. She sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the crash.

Although the man died at the scene, police said both drivers were taken to MyMichigan Medical Center by EMS.
