HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - More than 1,300 rainbow trout made their way into tri-city waterways Wednesday as part of Nebraska Game and Parks’ ongoing October restocking program, bringing a splash of color and renewed fishing opportunities to waters including Heartwell Park, Central Nebraska Veterans Home Pond and Suck’s Lake.

The restocking allows residents the chance to reel in fresh fish while giving everyone an equal opportunity to enjoy the sport. Nebraska Game and Parks implements catch limits to ensure fair access for all anglers, not just the most dedicated fishermen.
