[WATERLOO, Iowa] — Voting has officially begun for the November elections in communities across Eastern Iowa. Local election offices, including Black Hawk County, opened for early voting today.
Voters have the opportunity to participate in city council races, school elections, and community college trustee elections.
Karen Showalter, Black Hawk County Auditor, highlighted a particularly competitive race.
"We have several cities in Blackhawk County so probably the most contested race we have for Mayor would be in Waterloo, where there are four candidates running for one spot," Showalter said.
