As London continues to tackle its housing crisis, a new investment of more than $10 million will support the creation of Hilda Stuarts Loft, a 42-unit affordable housing project inside the former War Memorial Children’s Hospital at 392 South St. The funding announcement was made on Wednesday by London MPs Peter Fragiskatos and Arielle Kayabaga on behalf of Housing and Infrastructure Minister Gregor Robertson, alongside Mayor Josh Morgan.
What’s new?
The project includes $8.6 million from the federal Affordable Housing Fund, $2.6 million from the city and $120,000 from the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corp.
