BLACKWELL, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) - A 1965 Ford Mustang is a car that would catch your ear and your eyes driving down the road, and that is exactly the goal of Blackwell Consolidated School District students working on restoring one of those classics for a member of the community.

When the car was first revealed to the agricultural class sophomore, Memphis Boyd, said he was excited to be in its presence.

"Walked to the AG shop, and there's just a 1965 Mustang sitting here. [Our ag teacher] didn't tell us anything about it," Boyd said. "We've taken off like all the fenders, and we've pretty much completely stripped the car, and where there's some paint chip, like, there's still some more that we have to go over to. Sprayed it with primer again, sanded it down."
