A special called meeting of the Hamblen County Commission was held Tuesday afternoon regarding a settlement of a federal case against Hamblen County.

The Commission met in Executive Session before the Hamblen County Commission’s regular committee meetings.

Both meetings were held Tuesday afternoon due to the holiday on Monday.

The first resolution was whether the Commission would reject to Magistrate Cynthia Wyrick’s report and recommendation of attorney’s fees. Commissioner Stan Harville motioned to reject and Commissioner Rodney Long seconded.

The details on the nature of the recommendation were not publicly disclosed, as is allowed under Tennessee’s Sunshine Law.
