A motorcyclist has been critically injured after a serious crash in Bayswater this morning.

The teenage rider was rushed to Royal Perth Hospital by St John WA at 7.42am after the crash on Guildford Road.

Guildford Road has been closed between Garratt Road and Roberts Street and traffic is heavy in the area.

Main Roads has advised drivers to find an alternative route.

The teen was injured in one of a spate of crashes across Perth which has led to lane closures on several arterial roads. Loading Tweet

The right lane of the Northbridge Tunnel heading westbound has also been shut following a crash.

While the left and centre lanes remain open, Main Roads WA has advised people to allow for safe merges and to exercise caution in the tunnel.
