Excitement over the Dodgers’ prospects of winning two World Series in a row is spilling over into doughnut shops.
Both Randy’s Donuts and Dunkin’ are selling Dodger blue doughnuts throughout Southern California.
Randy’s, based in Inglewood, is bringing back the Bavarian cream-filled doughnut it served for the 2024 World Series, in which the Dodgers defeated the New York Yankees, 4 games to 1 . The doughnut has Dodgers-blue icing and a white LA logo. It costs $4.20 each, according to a news release.
Dunkin’ is selling a “Blue Batter” donut it describes as a yeast ring with vanilla icing and blue sprinkles. They cost about $1.89 each.
Dunkin’ is based in Massachusetts, home of the Boston Red Sox, but has been the official coffee and doughnut partner of the Dodgers since 2021.
