Kings officially sign 6-foot-8 forward to 5-year, $140 million contract extension

The Sacramento Kings made headlines on Wednesday by acquiring 9-time All-Star and 2017 NBA MVP Russell Westbrook to round out their crowded guard room, but their latest decision means so much more for their long-term future.

According to ESPN's Shams Charania , the Kings handed a hefty contract extension to their former No. 4 overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft and career 37.2% three-point shooting forward Wednesday night.

"Sacramento Kings forward Keegan Murray has agreed to a five-year, $140 million rookie contract extension with the franchise, Mark Bartelstein and Kyle McAlarney of Priority Sports tell ESPN," Charania shared via X.
