AUSTIN, Texas — Fire crews in Burnet County are battling a grass fire that sparked on Wednesday afternoon.
According to the Burnet County Office of Emergency Management, the fire started at around 4:45 p.m. in the 1500 block of Williams Road, west of the city of Burnet and east of Inks Lake State Park.
As of 9:20 p.m. Wednesday, the fire is 90 acres and is 15% contained.
The Office of Emergency Management said there are no homes threatened and no evacuations currently in place. One neighborhood has been warned to be prepared in case an evacuation is issued, but firefighters on scene don't anticipate one.
Spicewood Fire Rescue said it is sending a brush truck crew to assist the Burnet Volunteer Fire Department in battling the fire. The Texas A&M Forest Service is also assisting.
