BARTONVILLE ( 25News Now ) - A morning Bartonville house fire was still under investigation Wednesday night.

A two-story home on Jefferson Street near the elementary school in town caught fire around 10 am on Wednesday.

Bartonville Fire Department Assistant Fire Chief Drew Zachman said the fire started in the basement. He said firefighters were able to put it out in around 10 or 15 minutes.

Zachman said the National Air Guard Fire Department and Limestone Fire Department responded to the scene to help. He said there were no injuries reported.

He said the cause of the fire is still under investigation by the Illinois State Fire Marshall.
