FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — A new lawsuit filed in Little Rock is raising questions about the limits of free speech protections for government workers.
Lana Joy Gray, a former Arkansas Department of Health employee, is suing the state, claiming she was fired for social media comments she made about the death of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.
Gray argues her termination was unconstitutional retaliation for expressing her opinion online.
