There seems to be no end to the number of confused individuals who somehow think private schools are a public burden.

Let's be clear. Private school students save taxpayers hundreds of millions of dollars every year. That's because private schools only receive a fraction of the money, per student, that public schools receive.

In addition, private schools pay 100 per cent of the costs to actually buy the land and build the schools. Meanwhile, private school parents continue to pay all the normal taxes, collected by the B.C. government as part of the annual property tax assessment, as everyone else.

So, less costs and better outcomes, as the annual Fraser Institute's assessment of academic outcomes shows year after year.
