MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- As the federal government shutdown wears on, Milwaukee Mitchell Airport -and others across the country- are not playing a video that blames Democrats.

The shutdown has lasted for more than two weeks, and there appears to be no end in sight. Lawmakers and politicians from both sides of the aisle are trying to apply pressure to force a resolution.

The administration is blaming the shutdown on Democrats. But some observers are concerned some of those actions violate federal law.

The Hatch Act ensures federal programs are administered in a nonpartisan manner.

The organization Public Citizen has filed a dozen complaints since the shutdown began.

The latest focuses on a video the Department of Homeland Security wants played at airports .
