DETROIT- The Tigers stalwart backstop Dillon Dingler has a chance to become the first Tiger since Ian Kinsler in 2016 to win a Gold Glove award.

Dingler was announced as a finalist for the American League alongside Alejandro Kirk and Carlos Narvaez. Though he hit .278 on the season with 13 Dingler dingers, the best part of his game may be behind the dish. Dingler was plus 6 in defensive runs saved, and was among the best in the league in framing, throwing, and blocking percentages.

The Gold Glove winners will be announced on Sunday, November 2nd.
