An Oxnard man was arrested last week after allegedly robbing a teenage boy at gunpoint in Camarillo, according to the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded around 11:15 a.m. on Oct. 10 to the 200 block of Skyway Drive after receiving reports of a male juvenile seen walking without shoes, the agency said. When deputies arrived, they learned the 16-year-old victim had been robbed at gunpoint by a man who fled with several of the teen’s belongings.

Because of the violent nature of the crime, investigators with the Camarillo Special Enforcement Unit took over the case. Detectives identified the suspect as Diego Lopez, 18, of Oxnard.
