CICERO, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) -- The morning commute on Wednesday, October 15, was anything but smooth for drivers in Cicero.
A major paving project along Route 11 has caused major backups and plenty of frustration for people trying to get to work, school and run errands.
For Cicero resident Theresa Jackson, what was usually a quick drive to work in the morning, turned into a standstill.
"Just bumper to bumper traffic, and I mean you're not even moving that much, so you're just sitting there," Jackson said.
Crews are repaving Route 11 from Bear Road to Caughdenoy Road, closing the northbound lane and allowing only the southbound lane to be used.
"They made it just one lane...one lane north, one lane south, so that was it," Jackson said.
