A pair of first-half goals and three timely saves from Emily Venezia proved to be the winning recipe for 10th-seeded Trinity Hall as it shut out 23rd-seeded Red Bank Regional and secured a 2-0 victory in the first round of the Shore Conference Tournament in Red Bank.
Trinity Hall’s win sends it through to the second round where it will visit seventh-seeded Wall, which had a bye in the opening round.
Ryan Raynor and Kailyn Fitzgerald accounted for the goal-scoring in the match. Eliza Chiles and Kaylee Davis notched one assist each for Trinity Hall (13-2-2).
Casey Miranda turned aside eight Trinity Hall shots in goal for Red Bank Regional (5-6-1).
