A day after Maharashtra’s Opposition accused the Election Commission of "eroding public trust" through opaque voter list management, a political storm erupted Wednesday over fresh allegations of a server breach at the Election Commission.
Senior Opposition leaders including Jayant Patil (NCP), Raj Thackeray (MNS) and Uddhav Thackeray (Shiv Sena - UBT) launched a fresh offensive, claiming that the integrity of Maharashtra’s electoral rolls has been compromised and calling for an immediate halt to the upcoming civic elections.
