The Los Angeles Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying additional victims of a University of Southern California grad student who is accused of drugging and sexually assaulting women.

Sizhe Weng, a 30-year-old Chinese national, is accused of assaulting multiple women between 2021 and 2025, Deputy Chief Alan Hamilton said in a Wednesday press conference.

Weng is accused of using "intoxicating substances" to facilitate the assaults.

Though Hamilton declined to name the specific drug or drugs involved, he said the effect was "very similar" to roofies, a slang term for Rohypnol.

Hamilton added that so far, the number of suspected victims is in the mid single figures, though he expects that to go up as more people come forward.
