HOUSTON – The Memorial High School football program is a lot more confident this season. Their swagger might be coming from the Mustangs’ new head coach, Brooks Haack, who won a state championship at Katy High School in 2008 and was the offensive coordinator for Randle’s state title last season.
So what’s the first year been like for Coach Haack?
“Man, it’s been a true blessing, and it’s something like you always dream of as a head coach or when you’re stepping into that role,” said Haack. “I know, as a kid for so long I was dreaming about this day of becoming a head coach, and it’s just been amazing so far.”
“He’s put a change on this team, our offense got a lot better, our defense a lot better, so I feel like that change is gonna make us go real far,” said senior linebacker Isaac Ric
