Pittsburgh Steelers running back Jaylen Warren (30) runs with the ball against Cincinnati Bengals safety Geno Stone (22) during an NFL game at Paycor Stadium in Cincinnati, Ohio

The Pittsburgh Steelers (4-1) and Cincinnati Bengals (2-4) meet in an AFC North clash Thursday to commence Week 7 action. Kickoff from Paycor Stadium in Cincinnati, Ohio, is set for 8:15 p.m. ET (Prime Video). Let's analyze BetMGM Sportsbook's NFL odds around the Steelers vs. Bengals odds and make our expert NFL picks and predictions for the best bets.

The Steelers, who sit atop the weaker-than-expected AFC North, throttled the Cleveland Browns 23-9 Sunday, covering as 6-point home favorites with the Under (38.5) hitting. QB Aaron Rodgers threw for 235 yards with 2 TDs and no interceptions as Pittsburgh ripped off its third consecutive win. The Steelers are 3-0 away from home this season, including a 24-21 Week 4 win in Dublin over the Minnesota Vikings.

The Bengals, who lost superstar QB Joe Burrow in Week 2 to a turf toe injury, have lost 4 in a row after opening the season 2-0. They lost 27-18 at the Green Bay Packers last week but covered as 15-point underdogs with the total (45) pushing. QB Joe Flacco made his first start for the Bengals, throwing for 219 yards with 2 TDs and no picks.

The road team won in both head-to-head games last season. In the first matchup, the Steelers claimed a 44-38 victory in Week 13 as 3-point underdogs with the Over (46) easily cashing. In the season finale -- with the Steelers already clinching a playoff berth -- the Bengals kept their postseason hopes alive with a 19-17 win, but they didn't cover as 2.5-point favorites as the Under (48.5) hit. The Bengals would get eliminated the following day when the Denver Broncos beat the Kansas City Chiefs, who rested many key players since they already locked up a playoff bid.

Steelers at Bengals picks and predictions

Prediction

Steelers 24, Bengals 21

Moneyline

PASS.

The Steelers (-250) are far too expensive to consider, especially on the road, while the Bengals (+200) haven't shown nearly enough to think they can come out on top.

Against the spread

BET BENGALS +5.5 (-110).

Flacco's first performance with Cincinnati was impressive enough to assume it can cover Thursday. With just 16 team carries last week, the Bengals utilized the 40-year-old often. He clearly still has potential, having been named the Browns starter before this season started. Cincy is 2-4 ATS this season.

The Steelers are 3-2 ATS, including 2-2 as favorites -- 0-1 ATS as road favorites of 3 or greater. They have scored 24 or fewer points in 4 straight games and have allowed at least 21 in 2 of those. Their defense hasn't been tested much this season with games against Cleveland, the New York Jets and the New England Patriots (before QB Drake Maye started heating up). Against the Seattle Seahawks and Minnesota Vikings, the defense allowed 31 and 21 points, respectively.

Expect Flacco to be able to help the Bengals score enough on the Steelers defense to keep it close. TAKE BENGALS +5.5 (-110).

Over/Under

The lean is OVER 44 (-110). Wait to see if the O/U line drops a little before betting.

The Steelers, 3-2 O/U this season, have been consistent on offense, scoring at least 17 points in all 5 games. Pittsburgh is 2-1 O/U in games with a spread higher than 40.

The Bengals defense has been absolutely atrocious. They have allowed at least 27 in 5 straight games and are 3-1-1 O/U in that span. Cincinnati is 2-0 O/U at home and is allowing 32 points per game (PPG) at Paycor Stadium. For the season, the defense has surrendered 30.5 PPG, ranking 30th out of the 32 teams.

BACK OVER 44 (-110).
