INDIANAPOLIS — It was a serious conversation about how police can better integrate with the communities they serve. During a town hall discussion, Hoosiers and IMPD officers collaborated to find ways to bridge that gap.

At Purpose of Life Ministries, one common answer sticks out: compassion. Inside the church, residents, pastors and police sat side-by-side to listen, learn and talk.

"Trust can be rebuilt, that the community can be reformed, but it takes the community and law enforcement coming together for that to happen," Concerned Clergy of Indianapolis President Rev. David Greene said.
