DES MOINES, Iowa —

Des Moines International Airport is part of a growing list of airports across the country choosing not to play a video blaming Democrats for the ongoing government shutdown .

A statement provided by the airport authority cited the political nature of the message.

"The Des Moines Airport Authority will not be displaying advertising or videos related to the Federal government shutdown," the statement reads. "Videos including references to political parties would also conflict with our policy prohibiting political advertising or messaging in the terminal."

The video shows a message from Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem in which she blames Democrats for the shutdown and its impacts on TSA operations.
