My brain has been like scrambled eggs since last Sunday. Not only have I been pre-occupied with Capt. Mike Williams ‘ passing, but three dear friends, one of them being my mother-in-law, face surgeries within the next week. With that being said, and after proofreading the previous column 100 times, I found a typo. Mike was born in 1946, not 1956.

Sunday, the Fish Reaper Fishing Team will host their 4th Annual Fishing Tournament on the Texas City Dike. Registration takes place on the Texas City Dike at 5-10 p.m. Saturday. They’ll reopen the registration table 4 a.m. the day of the tournament. Cost is $25 per rod to used to enter for the red drum division and $20 per person to enter the side pot for the largest black drum caught. There’s also a youth division, ages 13 and under, at a cost
