The Shubman Gill-led squad had initially reached Delhi airport early on October 15, but the flight to Australia departed nearly four hours behind schedule, causing further rescheduling in Singapore. The team eventually arrived in Perth around 4 am and checked into their hotel. Virat Kohli , Rohit Sharma , Shubman Gill , and KL Rahul were among the first batch of players to land in Australia. Strict security arrangements at Perth airport meant that fans had limited access to the players, and those waiting outside the hotel in the late night were unable to get photos, as the exhausted Indian stars headed straight to their rooms.
