BRISTOLVILLE — When the tournament season rolls around, any game can be your last.
Bristol coach Mike Armour has been drilling that message into his kids’ heads since their last regular season game. In the playoffs, it’s all about surviving and advancing.
The Panthers did just that on Wednesday, scoring three goals in the first half en route to a 5-0 victory over Crestview in a Division V, Northeast 1 district matchup.
“I think they were a little nervous to start, but once the nerves kind of got out of their system, I thought we started playing a lot better, and we started controlling the middle of the field a little bit more,” Armour said.
Bristol’s three-headed monster of Jenna Perris, Deserae Raymond and Lauren Church combined for all five of the Panthers’ goals.
