Marissa Muza was involved in six of seven goals for Cumberland Valley field hockey in a 7-0 rout of State College in Mid-Penn Conference Commonwealth Division play Wednesday at Mechanicsburg.
Muza, a Wake Forest pledge, scored four goals and assisted on two more. Jayden Fleisher, Phia Hunter and Lidia D’Agostino also scored for the Eagles.
Addison McCabe and Darby Souldert each made two saves to keep the clean sheet for Cumberland Valley while Cora Bierly made 12 stops for the Little Lions.
Cumberland Valley finishes its regular season at 12-4-2 and is safely within the District 3 Class 3A playoff field.
Should results hold, the Eagles, currently at No. 5 in the power rankings, would host MPC-Commonwealth rival Central Dauphin in the first round.
