PLACERVILLE, Calif. (KOLO) - On Monday, Sept. 29, Matthew Tisdale was sentenced to 180 days in jail and placed on two years of probation after he pleaded no-contest to felony possession of a controlled substance after two prior convictions, according to a Wednesday, Oct. 15, El Dorado County District Attorney’s Facebook post.

On Friday, Jan. 24, El Dorado County Sheriff’s deputies stopped a white GMC Envoy with expired registration tabs near Highway 50 and Red Hawk Parkway in Shingle Springs.

Tisdale was the driver.

He did not provide current registration, the post said.

As Tisdale exited the vehicle, he allegedly held up a small plastic bag and said it “had diamonds in it,” the post said.

He also allegedly said there were needles in the car but “I don’t slam,” according to the post.
