Infosys founder Narayana Murthy and his wife, Sudha Murthy, who is a Rajya Sabha member and author, have declined to participate in Karnataka government’s Socio-Economic and Academic Survey, commonly referred to as the caste survey. In light of the couple opting out of the survey, officials disclosed their response penned on the survey form.
In their self-attested letter to the Karnataka State Backward Classes Commission, they cited personal reasons for their decision, adding that the government would not gain nothing from their participation.
