On Thursday at 2:26 a.m. the National Weather Service issued a frost advisory valid from 11 p.m. until Friday 10 a.m. for Schenectady, Saratoga, Albany, Rensselaer, Greene, Columbia, Ulster and Dutchess counties.

The weather service says to prepare for, "Low temperatures ranging from 33 to 36 degrees will result in areas of frost formation."

"Frost could harm sensitive outdoor vegetation. Sensitive outdoor plants may be killed if left uncovered," comments the weather service. "Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold."
