The Janata Dal (United), JD(U), released its second list of nominees for the upcoming Bihar Assembly polls on Thursday. The Nitish Kumar-led ruling party named 44 candidates, whom it fielded from various constituencies across the state. Several ministers, including Sheila Mandal, Vijendra Prasad Yadav, Leshi Singh, Jayant Raj, and Mohd Zama Khan, featured on the list.
As Bihar readies for the 2025 Assembly elections scheduled to be held on November 6 and 11, Janata Dal (United) MP Sanjay Kumar Jha said Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will kick off the poll campaign starting today.
The JD(U) has fielded Kaladhar Mandal from the Rupauli seat. The JD(U), an NDA partner in Bihar, has now named all candidates in its quota of 101 seats in the alliance.
