A Pune-based man has triggered a discussion on school pressure and homework overload after revealing that his eighth-grade son is often forced to stay awake past midnight to complete school projects.

Niteen S Dharmawat, an investor and co-founder of Aurum Capital, said that despite finishing his regular homework, his son had to spend late hours on an additional project assignment out of fear of being punished the next day.

In a post on X, Dharmawat shared a short clip of his son working on his project as he said, “As a parent, I'm feeling so helpless with this rotten system. Whatever I was against, I have to face it for my kid now.”
