Bill Belichick and UNC football have another prime-time opportunity in front of a national audience on Friday, Oct. 17, at 10:30 p.m. (ESPN) against the California Golden Bears in Berkeley.

The Tar Heels (2-3, 0-1 ACC) and Golden Bears (4-2, 1-1) are in different places, with UNC still in search of its first victory against a Power 4 opponent under Belichick.

After a trio of blowout losses against P4 opponents, including a 38-10 loss to Clemson in Chapel Hill, UNC will try to avoid an 0-2 start in ACC play in consecutive seasons for the first time since 2013-14. The Heels are 0-2 in the all-time series against Cal, losing a home-and-home series in the 2017-18 seasons.
