It’s hard to believe, but faster than Barion Brown the LSU football season has raced to the midway point.

The Tigers are ranked No. 10 in the country, just one notch below where they were picked in the preseason AP poll, are 5-1 and 2-1 in the Southeastern Conference. And yet, there is a palpable sense among LSU fans and across the college football landscape that the Tigers have underachieved heading into Saturday’s unexpected top-20 matchup at No. 17 Vanderbilt (5-1, 1-1) at 11 a.m. on ABC.
