Amid political speculation, the United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL) has firmly put to rest any doubts about its alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA). Party General Secretary, Raju Kumar Narzary on Wednesday reaffirmed that the UPPL remains committed to the alliance at both the state and central levels, with no current plans to reconsider its position.
Speaking to the media, Narzary said, “From 2020 till 2025 there was a BJP-UPPL NDA alliance government in the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC). We have a commitment to stay with the BJP-led NDA government in Assam till 2026. Till 2029, we
