Head coach Gerry Glasco isn't ready to say 2026 is a national championship or bust season for the Texas Tech softball team , but one thing is for sure after the Red Raiders wrapped up their fall scrimmages Tuesday.
There's no shortage of talent on the team.
In his inaugural campaign, Glasco put the Red Raiders against a group of junior colleges to get a look at his squad. He flipped that mentality this year, opting to pit the team in a series of intrasquad scrimmages with a pair of contests against other teams.
The idea is sound, as the Red Raiders would likely overwhelm most Division I teams. So, why not give everyone on this year's roster reps and see how they respond to other high-quality players?
